Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani

Apart from being a trustee of the HSNC board, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani is also the Managing Director of the Hiranandani Group of Companies. The group is recognized as a producer of high-quality housing and commercial premises in the country. The group has diversified into various other industries, including education, hospitality, entertainment, horticulture, and retail. The group is also known for its modern and state-of-the-art township projects in Powai and Thane, both of which are one of the most known commercial locations in and around Mumbai.

Apart from his professional work, Dr. Niranjan is actively dedicated and associated with various Government organisations, Private and social institutions, schools and colleges. He is known for drafting the State Policy of Slum Rehabilitation in Mumbai, acting as trustee for the creation of Nathdwara Township, serving on the board of the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO), and advising the Government of India on housing and habitat policy for over a decade. Dr. Hiranandani is a business leader with excellent business acumen, social awareness, and up-to-date knowledge.

Governing Board Members

Mrs. Vandana Berjis Desai graduated in commerce and law from Government Law College, Mumbai. She worked as a corporate lawyer before becoming an editor at Jet Airways. She is a trained Montessori teacher and has diplomas in Advanced French and Travel & Tourism. Vandana has done workshops in cognitive and behavioural psychology and has volunteered for NGOs like the Red Cross and IAPA.

Mr. Nanik Rupani, born in 1941, is a businessman and philanthropist, and he is also the Chairman of Roopmeck Electricals Pvt. Ltd. and the Chairman Emeritus of Priyadarshni Academy, which is a charity that gives scholarships to students who need them. The Priyadarshni Academy gives out literary awards in four Indian languages to share India's wisdom with the world.

Apart from being the MD of the Hiranandani Group, Darshan Hiranandani heads the real estate operations in Dubai and is the CEO of the energy operations globally and also plays an advisory role in real estate. Darshan pursued his MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York and now serves as a trustee of the respective college.

Mrs. Kamal Hiranandani is a businesswoman and the Director of the Hiranandani Group where she handles multiple roles. She is known for dealing with customer grievances and society-related issues, that not only need a legal and administrative approach but also a human approach with great enthusiasm. Mrs. Kamal’s travel experience is what adds to her work profile when it comes to world economics and business.

Ashutosh Vaidya is a performance-oriented professional with 28 years of experience in tackling complex business challenges and making high-stakes decisions. He has excelled in CSR management, general administration, and facility management roles with prominent companies such as Tata Consultancy Services, L & T Infotech, CRODA India, Cadbury's, and SBI Capital Markets. Ashutosh is a Commerce graduate with additional diplomas in Business Management and Capital Markets. He holds certification as a CSR professional from the Institute of Company Secretary of India.

Mr. Ranjit Shahani is a healthcare industry veteran and former Managing Director of Novartis India Limited, where he served for 15 years. He has extensive experience in managing diverse boards and teams to deliver strong business outcomes. Mr. Shahani is also a thought leader in the pharmaceutical industry and has advocated for a strong product patent law, data protection, and liberalization of the price control mechanism for pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Nihchal Israni, born in 1929 in Sind (now Pakistan), relocated to India and joined Pfizer Ltd. as a Commercial Assistant. He became their first Indian Managing Director. Later, he led Warner-Lambert/Warner-Hindustan Ltd. as their first Indian Managing Director, turning it into a public company. He became the first Indian Regional President for Asia at Warner-Lambert International. Today, he heads Blue Cross Laboratories Ltd. with two modern Pharma plants and over 2200 employees, while supporting charitable causes.

Mrs. Anjula K. Mansukhani pursued graduation in Home Science and Economics from Lady Irwin College, Delhi. She taught at the College of Home Science, Nirmala Niketan in Mumbai before joining the Maharashtra State Women's Council for voluntary social work. After moving to Pune, she started a retail marketing business with her husband and son, managing a chain of stores representing various multinational brands. Currently, she actively supports two charitable trusts providing financial assistance to needy students for education and medical help.

Dr. Malini Mansukhani Laud pursued her B.D.S., Bachelor of Dental, surgery from Mumbai University and M.D.S. in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from Bengaluru University. She has been teaching at various dental colleges across Maharashtra for the past 10 years and has been privately practising since 2002 and also specialises in Cosmetic Dentistry and Endodontics (root canal).

She was on the board of an orphanage run by the Rakesh Jhunjhunwala Foundation. She owns a stud farm in Pune, and her racehorses have set world records in thoroughbred racing.

Mr. Adhiraj Harish is a highly educated lawyer from Mumbai, India. He holds three degrees: BMS, LLB, and LLM, from the University of Mumbai. He has also completed courses from the University of California, Berkeley, and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Mr. Adhiraj has been practicing law since 2011, and his main focus is on Real Estate law. He has helped many clients to successfully complete real estate transactions. Mr. Adhiraj also practices in the areas of Wills and Succession and laws related to international investments. He has co-authored a paper on Human Rights and Environment Law violations by Companies, which he presented at the National Seminar on Corporate Justice organized by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.

Born on the 6th of April, 1965, Mr. Vandan Agrawal is a Chartered Accountant from Mumbai. He went to Kishinchand Chellaram College for his Junior College. Mr. Vandan has worked in senior management positions in various shipping companies in India and abroad. He specializes in finance & accounts, taxation, legal, and general administration. He has been associated with Mr. Lal Chellaram’s Group since 1997 and is a director in many of the group companies. He is also a trustee in the group's charitable trusts and foundations that engage in educational and healthcare-related work. Mr. Vandan likes music, martial arts, and astrology and is involved in various altruistic activities. He is married and has two daughters.

Mr. Akhil Shahani heads The Shahani Group which has many colleges under them, that provides education in the field of business, media, real estate, and finance. The colleges help the students become employable by teaching them things that businesses want. He also partners with Kaizen Private Equity, which only invests in education. Mr. Akhil Shahani dedicates his time to charity work too and helps social entrepreneurs through his work with Unltd India & IDOBRO. He is also the Director of the SAGE Foundation and Trustee of The Shahani Trust, both of which help educate people. He has won many awards for his work in education and speaks at conferences.

Dr. Mansukhani is a pediatric dentist who works at the Doctor Center in Kemps Corner, Mumbai. She has over 25 years of experience in her field, and for 12 years, she worked as a professor at M. A. Rangoonwala Dental College, Pune. She has also been an examiner for various universities including the National Dental Council (NDC), Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Dr. Mansukhani is also known as a motivational speaker who gives lectures on oral health care in schools and colleges across the country. Dr. Mansukhani is an avid yogi who believes in the importance of giving back to society. She has participated in Behtar India (a non-profit organization that helps underprivileged children), Habitat for Humanity, and Alert India.

    Mr. Dinesh Panjwani, Secretary of the HSNC Board has been the Principal and Vice-Principal of the Board’s colleges. He also holds membership in the Senate and several University of Mumbai Councils and initially used to serve as Vice Chancellor of HSNC University. Apart from his professional status, Mr. Panjwani is also a member of Kaivalyadhama, a leading Yoga Institute in India.

    Mrs. Padma Shah

    Mrs. Padma Shah has been in association with the HSNC Board since 1973 when she was a part of K. C. College. At K. C. College, Mrs. Shah looked after the administration of the board, and at the same time, she used to help and guide the Principals of the college. Since her retirement, Mrs. Shah is fully immersed in Board’s work and continues to work to date.
